Ne apropiem cu pasi repezi de lunile Martie/Aprilie cand se zvoneste lansarea noului iPad. Si cum un produs nu poate fi lansat fara a avea un stoc decent pentru pre-orders, Apple a inceput deja sa produca noul iDevice. Acest fapt este confirmat de Wall Street Journal:
Apple Inc. has started manufacturing a new version of its iPad tablet computer with a built-in camera and faster processor, said people familiar with the matter. The new iPad will be thinner and lighter than the first model, these people said. It will have at least one camera on the front of the device for features like video-conferencing, but the resolution of the display will be similar to the first iPad, these people said. It will also have more memory and a more powerful graphics processor, they said.
Deci toate zvonurile sunt confirmate: front-facing camera, procesor Cortex-A9 dual-core, procesor grafic mai puternic, carcasa mai usoara si mai subtire, aceeasi rezolutie si capacitate de stocare mai mare.
Va fi oferit initial in SUA prin AT&T si Verizon. Va fi interesant de observat modul in care Verizon va ramane neutru si va oferi simultan Motorola Xoom si iPad 2, doua produse extrem de diferite, lansate aproximativ in aceeasi perioada.
